Our curriculum
Seven areas. One whole-child approach.
Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), providing children with meaningful, age-appropriate experiences that support their development, confidence and independence.
Through play, exploration, relationships and purposeful learning, we nurture every child across the seven areas of learning and development.
The three prime areas
Communication & Language
Finding their voice. Sharing their ideas. Building confidence.Children develop listening, attention, understanding and speaking skills through conversations, stories, songs, rhymes, role play and everyday interactions.
Personal, Social & Emotional Development
Growing confidence, independence and strong relationships.We help children understand their emotions, develop self-confidence, build friendships, learn to cooperate and become increasingly independent.
Physical Development
Moving, exploring and becoming more independent.Through indoor and outdoor play, children develop gross and fine motor skills, coordination, balance and body awareness while learning about healthy routines and self-care.
The four specific areas
Literacy
Discovering the joy of stories, sounds and words.Children develop early reading and writing skills through phonics, stories, mark-making, rhymes, books and meaningful literacy experiences.
Mathematics
Making sense of numbers, patterns, shapes and the world around them.Children explore counting, numbers, quantities, patterns, shapes, measures and problem-solving through hands-on and playful experiences.
Understanding the World
Exploring people, places, nature and the world around us.Children investigate their environment, learn about people and communities, explore nature and technology, and develop curiosity about the world they live in.
Expressive Arts & Design
Imagining, creating and expressing themselves.Through art, music, dance, drama, movement, imaginative play and creative exploration, children develop their ideas, creativity and self-expression.
Our early years programme is designed for children aged 2–5 years, following the EYFS framework and enriched through Montessori principles and a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach.
